You know what it is - Brando Sando. I've already tried to get multiple people in this club to read this book - but hey, I'm not the one who nominated it. This is a good standalone introduction to his work, written for "everyone who loved The Princess Bride".
A prequel to the Hunger Games! Also a movie, so if you don't want to read it you can pretend you did and just watch the movie instead. We'll never know.
I can think of a lot of ways to lose a "time war", but maybe I'll learn something new here. A bit of sci-fi mixed with romance?
Sticking with the theme of colored seas, we've got a dude who lives a tiny house. Oh and there's magic and romance.
We've got magic. We've got romance. We've got a magical academy. We've got a girl out for revenge because her parents were murdered. What more could you want?
I'm realizing as I go through these that there's a lot of colors in these book suggestions. This one is a dystopian comedy I think? It's got a show on Apple TV+, so it must be good.
I had to sneak at least one more traditional sci-fi into the list. I have no idea what it's about and it may be scary, but I've heard good things about this author.
If you were expecting me to describe this book, you are sorely mistaken. Yes, I have seen the movie. If you know nothing about this book, I do not recommend it. I'm not going to tell you not to vote for this, but I think it will set our book club down a dark path if it wins.
One of Brandon Sanderon's earlier books - a good taste of his unique magic systems without having to dedicate your whole life reading his larger series.
